Design:

This urban design project was a top finalist in the International Design Competition: Townshift. The proposal was for “ A Walkable Urban Village with a Small Ecological Footprint”. Our winning concept was a sustainable urban village with a small ecological footprint. It accommodated existing suburban commuter traffic, while creating new opportunities for walking, cycling and public transportation.

Site:

The current site is a typical suburban area with no real community focus. It is dominated by busy roads and strip mall development.
